A Kingston woman has confessed she is still reeling from the shock that she is now $1.6 million richer and the Apple Isle’s mystery division one winner after checking her winning ticket this afternoon.

The happy woman held one of the 12 division one winning entries nationally in TattsLotto draw 3921, drawn Saturday 15 February 2019. Each entry takes home a division one prize of $1,666,666.67.

As well as winning the coveted division one prize the thrilled winner also won division four bolstering her total prize to $1,666,700.62.

Speaking with a Tatts official this afternoon to confirm her win, the winner confessed she had bought her entry on a whim.

“I can’t believe it!” she exclaimed.

“I thought I might have had a few numbers but I didn’t realise until a few minutes ago that we had all of them.

“I only play every now and then and usually just grab a QuickPick.

“I only bought into this draw because I was right next to the shop!”

The thrilled woman also revealed why there was a delay in her coming forward to check her ticket three days after the draw.

“We don’t have internet at the moment and I hadn’t read the paper so I had no idea there was a winner in the area,” she explained.

“I just came into the store to check my ticket.”

When asked how the shocked woman planned to spend her TattsLotto windfall she revealed she still hadn’t got her head around the win.

“God only knows how I’ll spend it!” she laughed.

“We need a new car and there are a few things around the house we need to fix up but after that, I really don’t know!”

The down-to-earth winner also revealed her celebratory plans would be very low key.

“I’ve got a few errands to run and a few things on this afternoon so I don’t have time to celebrate,” she confessed.

“Maybe a bit later when the news has sunk in!”

The winning entry was purchased at Channel Newsworld Lotto, Shop 29, Channel Court Shopping Centre, Channel Highway, Kingston.

Channel Newsworld Lotto business partner Mike Ditcham said he was thrilled the winning entry had been claimed.

“Congratulations to our winner! We wish her good luck and hope she is able to realise all of her dreams!” he exclaimed.

“We hope our winner enjoys this once in a lifetime opportunity and makes the most of it!”
