A Montmorency player has had a kick start to the week after scoring a division one prize worth more than $989,000 in the weekend’s TattsLotto draw.

The secretive winner held one of the four division one winning entries nationally in TattsLotto draw 3973, drawn Saturday 17 August 2019. Each entry takes home a division one prize of $989,632.50.

However how the winner plans to spend their windfall will forever be a mystery as they have chosen to remain completely anonymous and spend their weekend celebrating in private.

Tatts spokesperson Bronwyn Spencer said while we might not know how this winner planned to enjoy their windfall, there was no doubt it would be life-changing.

“We can only imagine how our happy winner will enjoy their division one TattsLotto prize!” she exclaimed.

“Some winners tell us they will use their windfall to realise their great Australian dream of owning a home, buying an investment property or upgrading their home with renovations.

“While others say they will spend their windfall on a once-in-a-lifetime holiday overseas or that they plan to explore our sunburnt country via motorhome.

“Mostly our winners tell us they can’t wait to share it with their beloved family and friends.

“No matter how our winner plans to enjoy their windfall, we do know that their life has changed forever!”

The winning entry was purchased at Montmorency Newsagency, 41-43 Were Street, Montmorency.

Montmorency Newsagency manager Luke Costa said he was extremely happy one of his outlet’s customers became a division one winner overnight.

“It is so exciting to think that someone in our community has won such a great amount of money!” he exclaimed.

“We can’t wait to celebrate with our winner and have balloons and champagne ready for them.

“We will decorate our store so we can let everyone know we’ve sold a division one winning entry.

“Our customers will be excited to hear a local has become a division one winner.

“This is the first division one winning entry we’ve sold since we took over the store five years ago.

“Congratulations to our winner! We hope this makes your life a lot easier.”
