A Moonee Ponds man has confessed he will have a ”good long think” about how he’ll enjoy his $1.15 million division one prize after scoring division one in the weekend’s TattsLotto draw.

The Victorian man held one of the five division one winning entries nationally in TattsLotto draw 4135, drawn Saturday 6 March 2021. Each division one winning entry takes home a prize worth $1,156,990.80.

Sharing his disbelief with an official from The Lott, the happy man confessed he couldn’t believe his eyes when he realised he had won.

“I scanned the ticket on the app yesterday, and I couldn’t believe what I saw at first!” he exclaimed.

“I had to get my family to check it for me. It still hasn’t sunk in.

“I’m not sure what I’ll do with it.

“You always think you’ll do something crazy when you win the lottery, but I think I’ll have to have a good long think about it and be sensible.

“Perhaps once it’s sunk in, I’ll use it towards a new home and a holiday.”

The happy winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased their winning entry at Moonee Ponds Central Newsagency, Shop T16 Moonee Ponds Central, Homer Street, Moonee Ponds.

Moonee Ponds Central Newsagency owner Raj Makwana said he was thrilled to have some good news to share after a tough year.

“After everything happening with the pandemic and surviving the lockdowns, it’s an amazing feeling to have some good news to share with our customers!” he exclaimed.

“We’ll be telling everyone about our win and decorating our store as we are ready to celebrate!

“Winning over a million dollars is a life-changing amount. What a wonderful feeling for our winner to have scored such a great prize after a tough year.

“We’ve sold 10 division one winning entries in the past five years since we took over the business.

“The last was in September last year as part of a syndicate.

“It’s always exciting when we sell a division one winning entry and can share the moment with our customers. It’s amazing when they come and tell us what they do with their win.

“They’ve told us they pay off their mortgage. For others, it’s been a new home or car or setting their kids up for the future.

“It’s very exciting to hear how these TattsLotto wins are fulfilling some winners’ dreams and aspirations.

“It’s such a precious moment in life, and we hope our winner enjoys every moment.

“We are really proud to be part of their winning journey, and we wish him all the best for their future!”
