A Taylors Hill woman has confessed she was rendered speechless the moment she discovered her entry into Saturday’s TattsLotto draw yielded her over $1.15 million.

The shocked winner held one of the five division one winning entries nationally in TattsLotto draw 4135, drawn Saturday 6 March 2021. Each entry takes home a division one prize worth $1,156,990.80.

Sharing her excitement with an official from The Lott this morning, the happy woman recounted the moment she discovered the life-changing win.

“Thank you! Thank you! Thank you so much!” she exclaimed.

“I discovered the news on Sunday morning, but I couldn’t quite believe it.

“I got an email on Sunday morning telling me I had won something, but it didn’t tell me how much.

“It usually lets you know exactly how much you’ve won, so I thought maybe I had won a few thousand dollars.

“So I checked my ticket number, and there it was right in front of me. It was surreal. I was speechless.

“I never expected it to happen! The most I’ve ever won is $100!

“I’ve been playing for about a year now. I play one entry with marked numbers and one entry that’s a QuickPick.

“A couple of weeks ago, I forgot to put my tickets on, and my partner said to me, ‘what happens if our numbers come up?’.

“So I haven’t forgotten since, and I’m glad I didn’t forget this week!”

When asked how she planned to enjoy life as a newly-minted millionaire, the Victorian winner confessed the news was still sinking in.

“I’m not sure what we’ll do with it!” she laughed.

“It’s all just too surreal, and it’s still sinking in. Hopefully, once we see it in our bank accounts, we can start planning.

“I’m glad it’s a public holiday today, so I don’t have to try and work. I’d have been too distracted!”

The thrilled winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased her winning 50-game QuickPick entry at CTC Taylors Hill / Tatts, Shop 13, Taylors Hill Village, Cnr Hume & Gourlay Road, Taylors Hill.

CTC Taylors Hill / Tatts owner Michael Merhi said he was excited to discover his outlet had sold a division one winning entry.

“We had been saying  that we had a feeling we would sell a winning entry that weekend, and we did!” he exclaimed.

“When we heard the news, we told all of the wonderful team that we sold a winner, and they were thrilled.

“We’ve decorated the store in celebration and will be telling all of our customers we’ve sold a division one winning entry.

“Our customers will be so happy for the winner and us. We are so grateful to be able to celebrate another amazing milestone in our outlet.

“We’ve sold three division one winning entries in four years. The last was in July 2019, and we are thrilled to have sold another one!

“We wish our winner health and then wealth! Congratulations on an amazing win!”

The winning numbers in TattsLotto draw 4135 on 6 March 2021 were 42, 26, 32, 16, 29 and 11, while the supplementary numbers were 30 and 6.
