More than a week after the draw a Cloncurry woman has come forward to claim her $200,000 Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize.
The Queensland ticket holder won the guaranteed 1st Prize of $200,000 in Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw 1478, drawn Thursday 20 February 2020.
As well as winning the 1st Prize, the woman also won a consolation prize of $1,000, boosting her total windfall to $201,000.
An official from the Lott called the woman this morning, who had only just checked her ticket and discovered her prize.
“I had absolutely no idea!” she admitted.
“I had heard that someone who purchased a Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot ticket from Chaplains Newsagency had won $200,000.
“I knew I had bought an entry from there, so I decided to check my ticket online, but I never thought I would be the winner.
“I couldn’t believe it when I saw I won! I was very shocked.
“It’s such a lovely surprise.
“It just doesn’t feel real.”
When asked how she planned to enjoy her $200,000 prize, the surprised woman said while she still needed time to let the news sink in, she did have a few ideas.
“It hasn’t sunk in, so I don’t really know what to do with it,” she explained.
“I will definitely share some with my family and pay off some bills.
“I’d love to go on a bit of a shopping spree and spoil myself!”
The winning ticket was purchased at Chaplains Newsagency, 23 Ramsay Street, Cloncurry.
Chaplains Newsagency manager Kaylene Lapworth said the outlet was thrilled the winner had come forward and claimed her prize.
“We are so glad our winner has discovered her prize,” she said.
“We can’t imagine how happy she must be.
“We are thrilled for her and wish her all the very best with her prize.
“Hopefully this is the start of a winning streak and we make more of our customers major prize winners.”
The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now $1.48 million for draw 1479 while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot is now $3.10 million for draw 10355.
