The North Shore resident won the guaranteed 1st Prize of $200,000 in Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw 1146, drawn on Monday 22 October 2018.
The winner was fast asleep when a NSW Lotteries official rang him this morning to deliver the news of his good fortune.
“Thank you! That’s fantastic,” the man exclaimed when his win was confirmed.
“I’m only just waking up but I’m happy to receive this call any time.
“I’ll be looking forward to seeing that two hundred thousand drop into my account.”
Like many, the regular Lucky Lotteries player confessed he had been keeping an eye on the climbing Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot, which now stands at more than $24 million.
“This may not be the jackpot, but it’s still a great win,” he said.
“It’s come at a good time. I might get myself a new computer and there will definitely be a few holidays in my future.
“I’m going to go have a late breakfast to celebrate.”
