A mystery Mount Gravatt shopper has spent the weekend planning how they’ll enjoy a spare $250,000 after scratching one of the top prizes on a $10 Ultra Multiplier Instant Scratch-Its ticket.
The winning ticket was purchased at Sunshine News, Shop 15, Mt Gravatt Plaza, 55 Creek Road, Mount Gravatt.
Exactly how the winner plans to enjoy their $250,000 instant windfall will forever be a mystery as they have chosen to remain completely anonymous and celebrate in private.
Sunshine News owner Sharon Jiang said she was overjoyed for the outlet’s latest winner.
“We’re always so happy when people come in and tell us they have had a big win!” she exclaimed.
“It’s great news for us and the community.
“I am so happy for the customer, they really deserve it.
“Our locals are all very supportive and we’re very grateful for that, so it’s great to see these wins go back into our community!”
Instant Scratch-Its spokesperson Lauren Cooney said she was sure Brisbane’s latest winner would enjoy their prize.
“We have no doubt this mystery winner will enjoy every moment of their instant windfall,” she said.
“Other winners have told us they use their windfall to upgrade their car, do renovations on their home, or go on a shopping spree.
“No matter how they enjoy their prize we are sure it will give them a boost!”
Between 1 July 2019 and 30 June 2020, there were 151 Instant Scratch-Its top prize winners across The Lott’s jurisdictions who collectively took home more than $11.8 million in top prizes.
During this same time, Instant Scratch-Its players enjoyed more than 29.1 million wins across all prize tiers worth more than $235.25 million. This equates to more than half a million dollars won on Instant Scratch-Its every day.
