A Mt Annan man declared he would be hitting the car yards and test-driving cars he has had his eyes on for years after taking home $200,000 1st Prize in yesterday’s Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw.
The thrilled winner scored the $200,000 1st Prize in Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw 1517, drawn Tuesday 2 February 2021.
Sharing his excitement with an official from The Lott, the winner recounted the moment he realised he had scored a major prize.
“Thank you very much! That’s amazing!” he exclaimed.
“I play every week, but I’ve never won anything like this. The most I’ve won is $40, but I’m just happy when I win a free ticket.
“I saw that I had a few missed calls, but I was working all day and hadn’t been able to answer.
“Then, later on, I saw that I had an email urging me to check my ticket.
“I put two and two together and went ‘oh sh*t! I think I’ve won something’.
“I couldn’t believe it! I didn’t do much celebrating last night because I’ve got to work today!”
When asked how he planned to spend his Lucky Lotteries windfall, the self-confessed rev-head said he couldn’t wait to get behind the wheel of a new car or two.
“I’ll finally get a new car!” he declared.
“I’ve had my eye on a few. I’ll definitely be going car shopping this weekend.
“I can’t wait to test drive a few and then decide which one, or ones, I buy!”
The happy winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his winning entry of two random numbers online at thelott.com – Australia’s official lotteries.
The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now $5.56 million for draw 1518, while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot prize is now $2.45 million for draw 10441.
