Nine friends and family members spanning three Australian states have spent their weekend running phone lines red-hot after discovering their multi-million dollar division one win.

The private syndicate's winning entry was one of the seven division one winning entries nationally in Saturday’s X Lotto $20 million Superdraw 3889 on Saturday 27 October 2018. Each entry takes home a division one prize of $2,857,142.86.

As well as winning the coveted division one prize, the syndicate’s system 10 QuickPick entry also won division three 24 times and division four 90 times, bolstering their total prize to $2,889,195.76. Each syndicate member receives a share worth $321,021.75.

When speaking with a SA Lotteries official this afternoon to confirm the win, the syndicate leader revealed his phone had been ringing off the hook since news of the win spread among the syndicate members.

“It’s just fantastic!” he exclaimed.

“It’s not all mine. I run a syndicate with eight other members so nine of us in total.

“It’s a syndicate of family and friends and we are spread out all over the country across South Australia, New South Wales and Victoria.

“From about midnight on Saturday the phone calls started so we are all well aware of our win.

“We’ve been playing the same numbers on our system 10 entry for about 10 years.”

When asked how he planned to spend his share of the X Lotto windfall, the thrilled syndicate leader revealed he still hadn’t decided who, or what, was on his Lotto List.

“I’m not sure yet really – even though I’ve had a couple of days to think about it!” he laughed.

“They always say never rush these things so I think I’ll just keep cool, calm and collected.”

The syndicate purchased its system 10 QuickPick entry online at thelott.com – Australia’s official lotteries.

So far this calendar year, Monday & Wednesday X Lotto and Saturday X Lotto have created 152 millionaires across Australia.

The winning numbers in Saturday X Lotto draw 3889 on Saturday 29 October 2018 were 13, 17, 32, 9, 37 and 16, while the supplementary numbers were 6 and 14.

Across Australia there were seven division one winning entries in Saturday X Lotto’s $20 Million Superdraw draw 3889 – two each from Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria, and one from South Australia.

The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 325 so far this calendar year, including 75 won by SA Lotteries customers.

Last financial year, there were 290 division one winning Saturday X Lotto entries across the Lott’s jurisdictions, which collectively won more than $302.7 million.
