A Port Augusta woman has declared her Friday night held “the loveliest surprise” after she scanned her Keno ticket at home and realised she had won a $50,000 Spot 8 prize.
The happy woman held a Keno Spot 8 winning entry in Keno draw 2693670 drawn Friday 4 December 2020 and takes home a $50,000 prize.
Sharing her excitement with an official from The Lott this morning, the winner revealed buying a Keno entry was part of her weekly routine.
“I tend to get a ticket every Friday when I am out and about running errands,” she explained.
“I never watch the draw and just check the ticket later.
“So that’s what I did on Friday. I was just at home and scanned the ticket on my phone and saw I’d won $50,000.
“It was the loveliest surprise. Just wonderful.
“I opened up a nice bottle of red wine to celebrate!”
When asked how she planned to enjoy her Keno windfall, the surprised winner said she would start 2021 with a plan for a happy new year..
“I have no idea how I’ll spend it! I’m not sure,” she confessed.
“There is so much going on at the moment and I think I just want to get Christmas out of the way first.
“Then in the new year, I’ll sit down and plan how I am going to enjoy it in 2021.”
The regular player, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased her winning entry at Orana Lotto & Newsagency, Shops C & D, Wharflands Plaza, 1 Tassie Street, Port Augusta.
Orana Lotto & Newsagency Supervisor Zoe Brooks said she was thrilled her outlet had sold another major prize.
“It’s been about 12 months since we sold our last Keno major prize so it’s about time we’ve had another one!” she exclaimed.
“We are so happy one of our customers is $50,000 richer.
“We have been telling all of our customers the good news. I bet they’re hoping our winners luck will rub off on them!
“Congratulations to our winner! We hope she enjoys spending her prize!”
