A Port Pirie man admitted that after discovering he had won a $50,000 Keno prize while he was out, he couldn’t wait to go home so that he could jump up and down and let the excitement out in private.

The South Australian player held a Keno Spot 8 winning entry in draw 2662698 on Sunday 6 September and takes home $50,000.

Sharing his joy with an official from the Lott, the stoked bloke admitted he’d discovered his win more than a week ago, but needed time to let the news sink in.

“Well I was actually watching the draw. I saw it all happen!” he admitted.

“It was the very last game that I won on.

“I was very excited, but I had to keep that excitement down, because I didn’t want anyone to know I won.

“When I went home, I could let the happiness out! That was a good feeling.

“I am a very happy guy in general, so you can imagine how happy I was after this win.”

When asked how he intended to enjoy his prize, the winning man admitted he’d spent the last week and a half planning.

“It’s great because it means I can pay off my bills,” he shared.

“I’ve always wanted to travel all around Australia. I can’t do that right now, but as soon as I can, I will be doing lots of trips.

“For now, I will just do some smaller trips in South Australia.

“I also can’t wait to spoil my mum! There’s a few things I want to get her, so I am really excited to be able to do that for her.”

The happy winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his winning Keno Spot 8 entry at Pirie Plaza Newsagency, Shop 15 / Pirie Plaza, Grey Terrace, Port Pirie.

Pirie Plaza Newsagency employee Madison Mcneil said the outlet was thrilled for their winner.

“It’s great news. We’re glad he’s claimed his prize,” she said.

“We are really happy for him and wish him all the best with his prize.

“Hopefully we can make more of our customers major prize winners.”
