Almost a week after the draw, a Randwick woman has come forward to claim her $200,000 Lucky Lotteries prize after spending the night wide awake planning what she’d do with her win.
The New South Wales player won the 1st Prize of $200,000 in Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw 1496, drawn Thursday 6 August 2020.
Confirming her win with an official from the Lott this morning, the Sydney woman explained she was oblivious to the win until she checked her ticket online last night.
“Oh my gosh!” she laughed.
“Thank you so much.
“I’m so excited. This feels so good!
“Life has been pretty tough lately so this is just amazing.
“I scanned the ticket last night and discovered the news. I couldn’t sleep after that.
“I had to come into the newsagency today to double check.
“I’m pinching myself! It’s unbelievable.”
When asked how she planned to enjoy her surprise windfall, the winner explained many people would be benefiting.
“I’ll be sharing it with my family and friends,” she said.
“It’s fantastic. I can’t wait to share the joy with them.
“This is just what we need right now!”
The winning entry was purchased at At The Spot Newsagency, 28 Saint Pauls Street, Randwick.
At The Spot Newsagency owner Fong Mak said she was glad her local customer had discovered the exciting news.
“It’s so nice to see this incredible prize go to a local,” she said.
“This is the first major prize winning entry we’ve sold at the outlet and we were so excited when we found out!
“I am so happy for our winner!

The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now $6.04 million for draw 1498 while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot is now $2.58 million for draw 10400.
