A Richmond player is heading into the weekend $200,000 richer after discovering they won the 1st Prize in a Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw earlier this month.
The Sydney resident won the guaranteed 1st Prize of $200,000 in Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw 1239, drawn Tuesday 5 March 2019.
However, how the 1st Prize winner plans to spend their unexpected windfall will forever be a mystery as they have chosen to remain completely anonymous and celebrate in private.
NSW Lotteries spokesperson Lauren Cooney said while we might never know how the Richmond player planned to spend their prize or why it took them two weeks to discover their good fortune, we were sure the win brought a smile to their face.
“What an incredible surprise to discover you’ve had a $200,000 winning ticket in your hand for a couple of weeks!” she exclaimed.
“No doubt our winner’s plans for the year will change when their bank account balloons by $200,000!
“Other Lucky Lotteries winners tell us their 1st Prize gives them the freedom to spoil their families, go on overseas holidays, pay off their mortgages or splurge on something they’ve been dreaming of.
“However our winner chooses to enjoy their windfall we are sure they’ll enjoy every minute of it!

The winning entry was purchased at Richmond Marketplace Newsagency, Shop 42, Richmond Marketplace, 78 March Street, Richmond.
Richmond Marketplace Newsagency employee Que Grimes said she was thrilled to know the winner had finally checked their ticket.
“We’ve been asking all our customers to check their Lucky Lotteries tickets, hoping that we’d find the winner,” she explained.
“It was great to sell a winning entry and we hope the good luck in our outlet continues!

The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now $50.20 million for draw 1256 while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot is now $4.27 million for draw 10279.
