A Logan Village shopper has started the week more than half-a-million dollars richer after scoring a division one prize in the weekend’s Saturday Gold Lotto draw.
The Queensland winner held one of the seven division one winning entries across Australia in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 3937, drawn Saturday 13 April February 2019. Each entry won a division one prize of $574,330.46.
However, how the winner plans to use their Gold Lotto prize will forever be a mystery as they have chosen to remain completely anonymous and celebrate in private.
The winning entry was purchased at Logan Village News, Shop 4, Logan Village, 2-12 North Street, Logan Village, which this week welcomed its new owner.
Logan Village News owner Anuj Verma said the division one win was a great way to mark the start of the new ownership for the outlet.
“We took over the store yesterday and to discover there was a division one win here from Saturday’s draw is just fantastic. It’s an amazing start and just awesome news,” he said.
“It’s always exciting to let customers know there’s been a division one win in the region. I hope there are more here not too far away.
“We wish our weekend winner all the very best with their prize.”
Golden Casket spokesperson Matt Hart said while we might never know how the Logan Village shopper plans to use their Gold Lotto windfall, it was bound to change their plans for the rest of their year and beyond.
“We can only imagine how their plans for 2019 have changed now they’ve discovered this life-changing news!” he exclaimed.

The winning numbers in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 3937 on Saturday 13 April 2019 were 16, 21, 18, 25, 22 and 19, while the supplementary numbers were 41 and 4.
Across Australia, there were seven division one winning entries in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 3937, four from Victoria, two from Queensland, and one from Western Australia.
The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 106 so far this calendar year, including 21 won by Golden Casket customers.
In the 12 months to 31 December 2018, there were 280 division one winning entries across the Lott’s jurisdictions, which collectively won more than $306.19 million.
