Saturdays have never been better thanks to exciting new improvements to Saturday Lotto that will give players a chance to share in a bigger division one prize and improve their chances of winning any prize.

Australia’s favorite lottery game has been a staple of the weekly lottery calendar every Saturday for more than three decades.

From this Saturday 10 October 2020 (draw 4093), Saturday Lotto players will be playing for the chance to win a slice of the new and larger estimated $5 million division one prize pool – an increase from the previous estimated $4 million offer.

The exciting changes don’t stop there, with the chances of winning any prize improving from 1-in-86 to 1-in-42, based on a one-game entry.

From this Saturday, players will only require three winning numbers in a single game to win division six (previously players needed one or two winning numbers plus 2 supplementary numbers).

“Due to a change in the combination of winning numbers needed to win division six, it will now be easier to win a Saturday Lotto prize,” Saturday Lotto spokesperson Bronwyn Spencer said.

“This improves the chances of winning division six from 1-in-144 to 1-in-52..”

Ms Spencer said the Saturday Lotto game changes were in response to national research.

“We spoke to some of our most loyal Saturday Lotto players about why they love playing and they told us they would love to see more prizes, more winners and more reasons to play!” she said.

“Players will see that’s exactly what we have done by providing more benefits to players with these exciting improvements.

“For people who already love playing Saturday Lotto, the best part is these game improvements don’t change the way the game is played or how they win division one.

“There is no need to change your favourite numbers or update your registration details.

“To support the improved chances of winning a prize, there will be a small price increase of 10 cents, plus commission, per game.

“The only thing players do need to do is mark their calendars for Saturday 10 October 2020, as this could be the day they could walk away with a share of $5 million division one prize!”

Tickets for the new Saturday Lotto game are available across Australia (excluding WA) in store or online via thelott.com or The Lott app.

Tickets for the new Saturday Lotto game are available in Western Australia through Lotterywest.

In 2019, Saturday Lotto created 203 millionaires across Australia.

Between 1 January and 31 December 2019, there were 289 division one winning Saturday Lotto entries across Australia, which collectively won more than $333.41 million.

The home of Australia’s Official Lotteries, The Lott operates and markets Australia’s leading lottery games customers know and love creating everyday winners, winning every day.

Last financial year, more than 131.8 million winners took home more than $3.3 billion in prize money from their favourite games at The Lott, including Saturday Lotto, Monday and Wednesday Lotto, Powerball, Oz Lotto, Set for Life, Lucky Lotteries, Keno, Super 66, Lotto Strike and Instant Scratch-Its.

In the 12 months to 30 June 2019, Australia’s Official Lotteries contributed more than $1.4 billion via state lottery taxes and donations to help community initiatives, such as hospitals, health research, disaster relief and education.
