A Surfers Paradise mum has been blown away by news she’s almost two million dollars richer after scoring division one in the weekend’s Saturday Gold Lotto draw.
The Gold Coast resident held one of the two division one winning entries nationally in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 3975 on Saturday 24 August 2019, with each entry taking home a division one prize of $1,971,752.32.
A Golden Casket official broke the life-changing news to the woman this morning, who had no idea she’d started the week a millionaire.
“Oh my god,” she cried with happiness.
“Jesus. That’s pretty flippin’ good!
“Thank you so much. Thank you!
“I’m amazed. Oh my gosh.
“My husband is going to be blown away.
“Oh wow! I had no idea.
“This is feels like a dream! I really can’t believe it. This is just amazing.”
When asked how she was going to enjoy her life-changing windfall, the mum had plenty of ideas.
“I’m going to go to the dentist!” she laughed.
“We will definitely pay off the mortgage, that’s on the top of the list.
“Maybe my husband will retire. I think that will definitely happen.
“He’s always dreamt of riding a bicycle around Europe and I’d love to take the whole family on a cruise.
“This is truly life changing. It’s amazing. I can’t believe it!”
The winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased her winning entry at newsXpress Surfers Paradise, Shop 43, Chevron Renaissance Shopping Centre, 3240 Surfers Paradise Boulevard, Surfers Paradise.

The winning numbers in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 3975 on Saturday 24 August 2019 were 33, 9, 10, 4, 32 and 11, while the supplementary numbers were 29 and 23.
Across Australia, there were two division one winning entries in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 3975, both from Queensland.
