A Bendigo farmer who admits life on the land has been tough lately has heralded a division one win in Saturday’s TattsLotto draw as life-changing.

The Victorian woman held one of the seven division one winning entries nationally in TattsLotto draw 3937, drawn Saturday 13 April 2019. Each winner takes home a division one prize of $574,330.46.

Speaking with a Tatts official this morning to confirm her prize, the hardworking woman recalled how she discovered her win late Saturday night.

“I am still shaking from Saturday night,” she admitted.

“I checked my numbers at about 9pm that night. I got the results up on my iPad and I checked and rechecked and checked again and then went up to my husband and he checked and then rechecked and then we started screaming!

“Our grandkids were over and they thought we were fighting because we were screaming so much.

“Then we told them we won TattsLotto and they started screaming too and we all started jumping up and down.

“We were in complete shock.

“I phoned my kids straight away and then they all came over and we celebrated. We had some wine and nibbles.

“They were so happy for me!

“It’s come at a great time. I am very, very happy!”

When asked how she planned to spend her win, the country woman said it would be put towards her farm and she would share it with those at the top of her Lotto List – her family.

“We have a farm and we’re in the middle of a drought,” she explained.

“It’s been very, very tough the last few years.

“We have been running out of feed and we haven’t been able to get crops in. It’s very severe here!

“It really will help so much.

“The rest I will use to help all my family.”

The winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased her 18-game marked entry at Bendigo Centre News & Lotto, Shop 10A The Bendigo Centre, Bath Lane, Bendigo.

Bendigo Centre News & Lotto owner Geraldine Clohesy said she was thrilled to have sold division one winning entry to one of her customers.

“It’s been a while since we’ve had a big win so we’re very excited! We love sharing the news with our customers,” she said.

“They are all so excited that we sold such a big winning entry. There is a good vibe in the shop today!

“We will definitely be celebrating the win. We’ll put all our banners up and have big smiles on our faces.

“We last sold a division one winning entry in December 2017 and hopefully we will sell plenty more in the future.

“We would like to congratulate the winner and wish her all the best!”
