Forest Hill Newsagency owner Jonathan Lai said he couldn’t believe the exciting news when he heard he had sold a division one winning entry.

“We couldn’t believe it! After a busy day of selling tickets and cards for Father’s Day it was great to get the news we’d sold a division one winning syndicate,” he said.

“My phone was flooded with messages to congratulate us.

“We ran this syndicate especially for the Saturday TattsLotto Superdraw.

“It’s nicknamed ‘We Love 7s’ because it consists of 50 System 7 entries.

“We are all so thrilled for our customers. One of the winners came in today to check their entry and she was shaking when we told her the great news.

“The last time we sold a division one winning entry was about two years ago when we sold another group syndicate winning entry. Over the years we’ve sold eight division one winning entries.

“We are so happy to have sold a division one winning ticket to our customers. We are so grateful to our lovely customers. They are the reason we wake up in the morning and look forward to opening the shop.”

Tatts spokesperson Bronwyn Spencer said some members of the winning syndicate held unregistered entries and may be yet to discover their winning news.

“What a great way to start your working week – discovering you’ve pocketed more than $280,000!” she said.

“While we’ll be reaching out to those syndicate members who registered their entry to their Tatts Cards, there are several syndicate members who have unregistered entries and may not yet know they’re part of this winning group.

“If you purchased a share in a syndicate for last Saturday’s TattsLotto draw, today’s the day to check it!  If you discover you’re holding a winning share, call Tatts on 131 868 to start the prize claim process!”
