Ten Carindale shoppers could be upgrading their Christmas festivities this week after sharing a $1 million division one prize in last night’s Monday & Wednesday Gold Lotto draw.

The syndicate held the only division one winning entry nationally in Monday & Wednesday Gold Lotto draw 4032, drawn Monday 7 December 2020.

In addition to winning a $1 million division one prize, the syndicate’s System 7 QuickPick entry also won division three 6 times, bolstering the total windfall to $1,003,070.50.

Each of the 10 syndicate members receive a share worth $100,307.05.

Shares in the winning syndicate were sold at two outlets within Westfield Carindale, 1151 Creek Road, Carindale – Nextra Carindale News and Nextra Carindale City News.

However as only some of the syndicate shares were registered to player cards, some members of the winning group may have yet to discover their festive surprise.

Officials from The Lott are urging anyone who purchased a Monday & Wednesday Gold Lotto syndicate entry from either of these two outlets to check their tickets today.

Nextra Carindale News team member Kealan Dunnett said he couldn’t wait to break the winning news to some of his customers today.

“The syndicate is called The Weekly Whopper and it has an entry into a game every night of the week. There’s some regulars who are always members of this syndicate so it will be great to tell them they’ve won,” he said.

“We sold a division one winning syndicate last year and before that we sold a $16.6 million Oz Lotto prize in 2017. It’s always great to have another win and it’s a great time of year to win! It’s not a bad early Christmas present!”

The Lott spokesperson Matt Hart said the syndicate members would receive their windfalls just days before Christmas Day.

“A division one win is welcome at any time, but I’m sure receiving a $100,000 boost to your bank balance this festive season is sure to make your Christmas especially merry and bright,” he said.

“While we’ll be reaching out to those syndicate members who registered their entries to their player card, some syndicate members have unregistered entries and may not yet know they’re part of this winning group.

“If you purchased an entry from Carindale recently, today’s the day to check it!  If you discover you’re holding a winning share, call 131 868 to start the prize claim process!”

The winning numbers in Monday & Wednesday Gold Lotto draw 4032 on Monday 7 December 2020 were 35, 38,10,19, 45 and 26, while the supplementary numbers were 17 and 32.
