A Tin Can Bay man has his daughter to thank after winning $100,000 in today’s Lucky Lotteries draw, confessing he only bought an entry due to his daughter’s love of cats.

The Wide Bay-Burnett region won the guaranteed 1st Prize of $100,000 in Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw 10704, drawn Wednesday 5 October 2022.

“Bloody hell! I wasn’t expecting a call like this today,” the winning man exclaimed when an official from The Lott confirmed his prize straight after the draw.

“I don’t play Lucky Lotteries very often, but I saw it there the other day and decided to buy an entry because my daughter loves cats so much.

“I thought Lucky the Cat might come through for me and lo and behold, it has!

“You’ve just made my day. This is going to do so much for us.

“I’d love to help my parents and friends out, buy a new car and maybe put a deposit down on a home.

“This news is so overwhelming. I need to sit down and let it sink in!

“Thank you so much. This prize is life-changing.”

His winning entry of two random numbers was purchased online at thelott.com – the official home of Australia’s lotteries.
