As Queenslanders enjoy the Labour Day public holiday, one Townsville local or visitor has even more reason to celebrate – they won more than $2 million in the weekend’s Saturday Gold Lotto draw but may not know it yet.
The mystery ticketholder held one of the three division one winning entries nationally in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4673, drawn Saturday 2 May 2026, and can look forward to $2,139,901.06.
If the winner had been part of The Lott Members Club and registered their ticket to a player card or online account, they would have already been alerted to their good fortune.
Instead, officials from The Lott are eagerly waiting for the ticketholder to check their ticket and come forward.
The winning entry was sold at The Avenues News, 85 Burnda Street, Kirwan.
The Avenues News owner Kaylene Turton said it was the first division one winning entry the outlet had sold during her time there.
“My sister and I have owned the outlet for about three years and during this time we have sold plenty of division two winning entries, but we finally hit our first division none win last night. How exciting for that lucky customer,” she said.
“How exciting for the customer that has just won $2.1 million! My god! Life changing!
“I’m sure every customer that has brought a ticket at our outlet will be running to the store to check their ticket to see if they are the lucky winner.
“Congratulations to our winner. I’m sure we would’ve told you gotta be in it to win it, and now you’ve done it! How lucky!”
The Lott spokesperson Matt Hart said he hoped North Queensland’s latest division one winner checked their ticket and came forward soon.

The winning numbers in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4673 on 2 May 2026 were 29, 19, 18, 45, 34 and 9, while the supplementary numbers were 28 and 8.
