Two Adelaide Keno players have started the week $50,000 richer after they each scored a Keno Spot 8 prize in two separate draws on Sunday afternoon.

The South Australians each held a Keno Spot 8 winning entry in draw 2655409 and draw 2655441 respectively, both drawn Sunday 16 August 2020. Each winner takes home a $50,000 prize.

The first win in draw 2655409 was purchased at IGA Alberton. The ticket is unregistered, which means officials from the Lott have no way of contacting the winner to break the life-changing news.

Anyone who purchased a Keno Spot 8 ticket at IGA Alberton recently is urged to check their tickets today.

Shortly after, OTR Tranmere celebrated selling Adelaide’s second Keno Spot 8 win of the day after a local woman took home the $50,000 prize in draw 2655441.

A new set of wheels for Tranmere woman

A Tranmere woman is looking forward to pulling up to the petrol pump in a new set of wheels after scoring $50,000 on a Keno Spot 8 ticket she purchased at OTR Tranmere.

Sharing her excitement with an official from the Lott this afternoon, the thrilled woman recounted the moment she discovered her win.

“I checked my ticket a million times!” she laughed.

“I play a couple of times a week when I am out and about, and I usually grab a few entries at a time.

“I only ever check them when I go to put the next ones on. I had no idea!

“I just kept checking my ticket!”

When asked how she planned to enjoy her surprise windfall, the happy woman said she was eager to do her errands in a new car.

“I definitely need a better car!” she declared.

“I think I’ll spend most of it getting a new car. I’ll also save some.

“I’m sure I can find something else to spend it on too!”

The winning entry at was purchased at OTR Tranmere, 176-178 Glynburn Road, Tranmere.

OTR Tranmere spokesperson Kim Wimshurst said they were thrilled one of their customers had scored a major prize.

“There’s nothing more exciting for our OTR team than seeing one of our customers take home a huge prize,” she said.

“AT OTR, we congratulate our winner and wish them all the best on their amazing windfall.”

An Alberton resident or visitor has scored a $50,000 Spot 8 prize in Keno draw 2655409 drawn 16 August 2020 — they just don’t know it!

The winning entry is not registered to an Easiplay Club Card, so officials from the Lott have no way of contacting the winner to break the exciting news and are eagerly waiting for the ticket holder to make contact to claim their prize.

The winning entry was purchased at IGA Alberton 33A Fussell Place, Alberton.

The Lott spokesperson Bronwyn Spencer said she urged all Keno players to check their tickets today.

“While we don’t know the identity of our recent winner, I am sure they would love to discover they have won $50,000!” she said.

“If you had an entry in Keno draw 2655409, we promise it could be absolutely worthwhile to check your ticket now!

“You could be our mystery Keno winner! Just imagine what you could do with an extra $50,000!

“If you discover you are holding the winning ticket contact SA Lotteries on 131 868 to begin the process of claiming your prize.”

Between 1 July 2019 and 30 June 2020, there were 28 Keno Spot 8, 9 and 10 winners across South Australia who scored more than $4.46 million.  The Spot 10 prize was won twice during this time – a win worth more than $1.66 million was won by a Whyalla player in December 2019, and a prize of more than $1.3 million was won by a Croydon Park man in February 2020.

Keno is a game whereby 20 numbers are randomly generated from a possible 80. To win a Keno Spot 8 prize, a player must match all eight of the numbers selected on their ticket against the 20 numbers drawn.
