It was a winning weekend for Adelaide with a Norwood player scoring a $2.4 million Keno Spot 10 prize, and a Collinswood man clocked off from work $50,000 richer after his Spot 8 win.

A Norwood Keno player is likely spending the day celebrating and planning what to do with an extra $2 million after discovering they won the Spot 10 prize over the weekend.
The South Australian scored the $2,465,125 Keno Spot 10 prize in draw 211107 935, drawn Sunday 7 November 2021.
How they plan to spend their windfall will forever remain a mystery as they have chosen to stay completely anonymous and celebrate in private.
The winning entry was purchased at Britannia Hotel, 1 Kensington Road, Norwood.
Britannia Hotel venue manager Henryk Mula said the entire team was delighted for their multi-million-dollar winner.
“How exciting is that!” he said.
“It was such an amazing moment when the win went off. Everyone in the venue was so excited and was busy checking their tickets, hoping it was them.
“Wins like this really create a buzz in the venue. It’s fantastic news for the winner, our venue and the community.
“It really is a life-changing win. We are so incredibly happy for the winner and hope this prize makes a great deal of difference to their life.
“We can’t wait for our next big win.”
The Lott spokesperson Ally Ramsamy said discovering the multi-million-dollar win was sure to put a smile on the mystery winner’s face.
“While we may never know how they plan to enjoy their prize, we have no doubt they are walking around today grinning from ear to ear after discovering their multi-million-dollar windfall,” she said.
“Other winners tell us they use their windfall to help their families, buy a new house, upgrade their home with renovations or splurge a new car.
“However, our winner chooses to use their prize, we hope they enjoy the winning feeling as long as they can.”
Collinswood man ends working week with $50,000 Keno win!
A young Collinswood man ended his working week like no other after winning $50,000 in Keno while out with his boss on Friday night.
The stoked bloke scored the $50,000 Keno Spot 8 prize in draw 211105 853, drawn Friday 5 November 2021.
“I am doing very well,” he laughed when an official from The Lott called to confirm his win.
“It’s just awesome! I was out with my boss after we’d finished work on Friday when I decided to pop $20 on Keno.
“We were having some laughs when I saw that someone had won $50,000 in the venue.
“I never thought I’d be the winner, so I didn’t even go up to check my ticket.
“A little while had passed and no one was screaming or cheering or celebrating so I decided to finally go up and check and that’s when I found out.
“I went completely pale; I could barely stand up and my heart was beating so fast. It was insane!
“It is such a blessing. I can’t believe it.
“I’ve always felt lucky and now this confirms it. I like to have a bit of a punt now, but I don’t play very often, so this is just amazing.
“I also heard another Adelaide local won the Spot 10 prize over the weekend, and I was so excited for them after my win! It really goes to show anyone can win at any time. It really can happen.
“The whole weekend was spent celebrating with my friends and my family. It was lots of drinks and lots of woodfire pizzas!”
When asked how he planned to enjoy his prize, the Adelaide man said it would set him up for the future.
“I am going to put it in a bank account that I can’t touch for a bit,” he explained.
“Then I am going to do some house shopping until I find my dream home.
“I wasn’t always the best kid, so I will spoil my parents a bit too! They deserve it.”
The winning entry was purchased at Hampstead Hotel, 143 North East Road, Collinswood.
Hampstead Hotel venue manager Rob Gillies said the venue was celebrating the major win.
“It’s awesome,” he said.
“The gentleman was in when the win went off. He was very excited about it all and spent the night celebrating the win.
“We are incredibly happy for him and hope he enjoys his prize.
“Hopefully, we have more big wins soon!”
In the 12 months to 30 June 2021, there were more than 5 million Keno wins across South Australia worth more than $133.2 million. This included 37 Keno Spot 8, 9 and 10 winners who scored more than $6.37 million.
The Spot 10 prize was won twice during this time – a win worth more than $1.3 million was won by a Croydon Park man in February 2021, while a win with more than $2.4 million was won by Taperoo man in November 2020.
Keno is a game whereby 20 numbers are randomly generated from a possible 80. To win a Keno Spot 10 prize, a player must match all 10 of the numbers selected on their ticket against the 20 numbers drawn.
