A Lithgow man clocked off work for the day to discover he had a string of missed calls from lottery officials and the surprising news he’d won $100,000 in today’s Lucky Lotteries draw.

The Central Tablelands resident held the 1st Prize winning entry in Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw 11020, drawn Friday 4 July 2025. He looks forward to a neat $100,000.

When an official from The Lott called, the shocked man confessed he initially thought he’d won $5,000 and was completely blown away to learn he’d actually pocketed $100,000.

“Wow! What very good news!” he cheered.

“I’ve had a great day at work and now you’re telling me I’ve won $100,000. You beauty!

“At first, when I saw I had a missed call from The Lott, I thought I might’ve won $5,000.

“I’ve been playing Lucky Lotteries for years, hoping for a win just like this. I can’t believe it!

“I’ll certainly be celebrating this one with some mates tonight. I’m thinking a big barbeque is in order.”

His winning entry of five consecutive numbers was purchased at Top End Newsagency, 33 Main Street, Lithgow.

Top End Newsagency owner Zen Ngyen said she was thrilled to hear the amazing news that her outlet had sold another 1st Prize winning entry worth $100,000.

“It’s amazing news for us! This marks our seventh 1st Prize winning entry sold at our outlet,” she said.

“Our local community is going to be excited to hear the winner was from the region.

“We hope our fortunate winner is happy and that they can use the prize to better their life.

Congratulations to our winner and we wish you good luck in the future.”

The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now $6.76 million for draw 1706, while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot prize is now $23.64 million for draw 11022.

In 2024, 147 Lucky Lotteries 1st Prize and Jackpot winning entries across Australia won more than $52.2 million.

Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot and Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot are raffle-style games, which means there is a set number of tickets in each draw. As each ticket number is unique there is no sharing of prizes.

Each game has two draws – one that determines the winning numbers and one that determines the jackpot number. If the jackpot number matches one of the winning numbers, then the Jackpot Prize is won. If the jackpot number does not match one of the winning numbers, the Jackpot Prize will climb for the next draw.

Tickets can be purchased at any licenced lottery outlet, online from thelott.com or via The Lott mobile app.
