A young Maldon man’s dream of buying his very own home can now come true after he scored $2.5 million in the weekend’s TattsLotto draw.

The Victorian player held one of the four division one winning entries in TattsLotto draw 4189, drawn Saturday 11 September 2021 – each pocketed $2.5 million.

Speaking with an official from The Lott this morning, the winner admitted he was still struggling to come to terms with the life-changing news.

“I found out straight after the draw on Saturday night,” he explained.

“I was just watching some TV with my family when I checked my ticket on The Lott app and that’s when I realised I’d won division one.

“I instantly started shaking! I felt so nervous. I just couldn’t believe it!

“I screamed for my parents to check, and they couldn’t believe it either. They were blown away!

“We celebrated that night with a few drinks. It was really good.

“I am still feeling so anxious right now. I have butterflies in my stomach!

“Hopefully, it starts to feel real soon, but regardless, it’s amazing.

“I think the first thing I will do is buy myself a home.

“It seemed a bit impossible, especially at the moment, so this is great for me.

“Honestly, I am not too sure what I will do with the rest. I’ve never had this kind of money, so it’s new territory for me!”

His winning System 11 QuickPick entry was purchased at Maldon Newsagency, 56 Main Street, Maldon.

Maldon Newsagency owners Graeme and Barb Ford said they were delighted to have helped deliver a division one win to a local customer.

“Wow! We are so happy that someone’s TattsLotto dream has come true,” Graeme said.

“We will be sharing this amazing news with all of our customers. I am sure they will be very pleased for our winner.

“It’s so exciting telling everyone about the win! It’s not just great for the winner, but also for us and the local community. It goes to show any outlet can sell a division one winning ticket!”

“This is the fourth division one win we’ve had at this outlet. Our last division one win was about five years ago, so it’s a big moment for us too,” Barb added.

“We wish our winner the very best and hope it lives up to their dreams.

“We can’t wait for our next big win!”

The winning numbers in TattsLotto draw 4189 on 11 September 2021 were 17, 34, 8, 10, 26 and 23, while the supplementary numbers were 36 and 41.
