An Albury man says he’s found himself in “la la land” after checking his TattsLotto ticket this morning to discover he won division one in the weekend’s draw.

The New South Wales resident held one of the seven division one winning entries nationally in TattsLotto draw 4001, drawn Saturday 23 November 2019. Each entry took home a division one prize of $577,792.94.

Confirming his win with a Tatts official this morning, the winner relived the moment he made the life-changing discovery.

“I still can’t believe it!” he laughed.

“I’m honestly just ecstatic. I’m in la la land.

“It’s incredible. I really can’t explain how I feel at the moment.

“I just went and checked my ticket and the staff at the newsagency told me they’d sold a division one winning entry. There’s no way I thought it could be me, but it was!

“I’m still in shock. I really can’t believe it!”

When asked if he’d be knocking off early today, the hardworking man said he’d see the day through.

“I’ll keep working, that’s for sure,” he said.

“One thing I’ll definitely be doing is taking a holiday.

“I certainly haven’t had enough of those over the years.

“The rest, I have no idea. I’m really going to have to think about it!

“It’s just amazing! There’s no other way to describe it.”

The man, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his winning entry across the New South Wales border at Wangaratta Lotto Card & Tobacconist, 69 Reid Street, Wangaratta.

Wangaratta Lotto Card & Tobacconist owners Sara and Damian D’Agostino said they were thrilled for their local and regular customer.

“We are so happy for our winner, especially receiving this prize so close to Christmas, what a beautiful surprise!” Sara exclaimed.

“We have sold many division one winning entries over the years and it gets more exciting every time.

“We wish him all the very best with his prize!”
