Speaking with an official from The Lott this afternoon, the Adelaide man declared he’d bagged something much more exciting than just bread and milk during his venture to the shops.

“I actually didn’t know I’d won. I’d just bought a ticket while I was out grocery shopping and so I was completely clueless,” he laughed.

“It wasn’t until I got home and checked it online, that I realised I’d won the Spot 8 prize.

“Honestly, I couldn’t believe it. It was a very exciting win!

“I think I gasped and let out a few cheers.

“It’s quite overwhelming. I am still trying to get my head around it all.

“This isn’t my first big win, but It’s certainly the biggest!”

When asked how he planned to enjoy his windfall, the overjoyed man admitted he had one thing in mind.

“I want to get a really  big pergola,” he shared.

“It’s something we’ve wanted for ages, so it feels like a little Christmas present to ourselves.”

The winning entry was purchased at Seaford Newsagency, Shop 17, Seaford Shopping Centre Cnr Commercial Road and The Parade, Seaford.

Seaford Newsagency owners Manish and Aarti Vinayak said they couldn’t be more thrilled to have had another major Keno win at their outlet.

“It’s excellent news! This is our second major Keno win this year,” Manish said.

“Hopefully we can make it a hat trick and have another big Keno win to close out the year.

“We’ve been sharing the news with all of our customers. It’s a very exciting win for us.”

“We’d love to send our congratulations to our winner. We wish him the best of luck with his prize.” Aarti added.

“The winner is a regular customer and very deserving, so we’re over the moon.

“What a great time to win, with Christmas just around the corner too.”

In the 12 months to 30 June 2021, there were more than 5 million Keno wins across South Australia worth more than $133.2 million. This included 37 Keno Spot 8, 9 and 10 winners who scored more than $6.37 million.

The Spot 10 prize was won twice during this time – a win worth more than $1.3 million was won by a Croydon Park man in February 2021, while a win with more than $2.4 million was won by Taperoo man in November 2020.
