An Aldinga man says he has the ‘biggest smile on his dial’ after scoring a Keno Spot 8 prize of $50,000.

The happy winner held a Keno Spot 8 winning entry worth $50,000 in Keno draw 2556578, drawn 6 November 2019.

Sharing his joy with a SA Lotteries official this afternoon, the jolly man recalled the winning moment.

“I was at the pub having some dinner and a few drinks with my mates,” he shared.

“I was watching the draw and I saw my five numbers come up, then I saw six and then I saw eight.

“I was shocked! I have been dreaming of this moment and now it’s happened.

“I was ecstatic.

“I had the biggest smile on my dial!

“We partied on into the night to celebrate. It was a great night.”

When asked how he planned to enjoy his prize, the stoked bloke said it would mean he could buy his dream home.

“I am going to put it towards a house, my dream house,” he explained.

“I have been wanting to buy a house for years but haven’t been able to do it. Now I can. It’s a great feeling!”

The thrilled winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his winning Keno Spot 8 entry at Aldinga Hotel, 1 Old Coash Road, Aldinga.

In the 12 months to 30 June 2019, there were 27 Keno Spot 8, 9 and 10 winners across South Australia who scored more than $5.98 million.  The Spot 10 prize was won twice during this time – a win worth more than $1.7 million was won in Mansfield Park in October 2018, and a prize of more than $2.1 million was won in Findon in June 2019.

Keno is a game whereby 20 numbers are randomly generated from a possible 80. To win a Keno Spot 8 prize, a player must match all eight of the numbers selected on their ticket against the 20 numbers drawn.
