A New Auckland angler doesn’t have to worry about the “one that got away” after reeling in a $200,000 Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot windfall.
The Gladstone player won the 1st Prize of $200,000 in Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw 1559, drawn 4 February 2022.
The euphoric man was completely oblivious to his good fortune until an official from The Lott made contact with him.
“Oh, that’s very nice! Wow!” he laughed.
“I don’t have access to a mobile phone, so your phone calls have been going to my wife’s mobile. She was curious to why she had been receiving so many phone calls over the last few days!
“I’ll have to tell her straight away. I won’t be surprised if she starts jumping up and down.
“I was going to go fishing later, so this means I can buy even more bait!
“I like to purchase entries into Lucky Lotteries draws once or twice a week, so it’s very exciting to see a major lottery win.
“Thank you! Thank you!”
With $200,000 about to float into his bank account, the Central Queensland resident said he would purchase a new fishing boat.
“I love to go fishing, so this will definitely go towards a new fishing boat! It’s been on the top of my wish list,” he said.
“I’ll have to celebrate with the family at some stage, but for now I’ll celebrate at home with my dog!”
His winning entry of two random numbers was purchased at TSG Boyne Island, Shop 3, Boyne Plaza, 3 Centenary Drive, Boyne Island.
