A Darwin woman has declared her family comes first after scratching one of the top prizes of $25,000 on a Catch A Fortune Instant Scratch-Its ticket.
The winning $2 Catch a Fortune ticket was purchased at Bardens Pharmacy, Shop 1, 47 Cavenagh Street, Darwin.
Sharing her excitement with an official from the Lott, the woman revealed she experienced her winning moment with her beloved family by her side.
“My family and I often buy scratchies when we are out at the shops,” she explained.
“We had all just been at the shops and bought a few each and then came home and were scratching them together.
“I started shouting when I saw I had won. I couldn’t believe it!
“I showed my parents and my sister, and we were all shouting.
“I was so, so happy!”
When asked how she planned to enjoy her instant windfall, the overjoyed winner revealed she would share it with her loved ones.
“I want to share this blessing with my family and those important to us,” she declared.
“It’s really come at a good time for us with everything happening at the moment.
“We’ve had to change our travel plans, so this will go a long way to helping with those when we can have a holiday again!”
Bardens Pharmacy manager Ashleigh Hutson said she was thrilled to have sold another major prize.
“We have sold another top prize winning Instant Scratch-Its, but it was a few years ago now,” she explained.
“It’s good that the luck has come back to the NT! “It was so exciting when the customer came and told us she had won. It’s always great to see wins go to a regular customer.
“We wish her and her family all the best!”
