One Melbourne player took home Powerball’s $23 million division one prize last night– but they may not know it yet.
The mystery Victorian player held the only division one winning entry across Australia in Powerball draw 1249, drawn Thursday 23 April 2020, scoring the division one prize of $23,686,120.08.
The multi-million-dollar winning entry was not registered to a Tatts Card, which means officials from the Lott have no way of contacting the winner to break the incredible news.
The mystery winner is Australia’s third Powerball division one winner for 2020.
The winning Powerball entry was purchased at Casey News & Lotto, Shop 156, Casey Central Shopping Centre, Narre Warren-Cranbourne Road, Narre Warren South.

Young North Sydney woman oblivious to multi-millionaire status for four months
A Young North Sydney woman has served as the perfect inspiration to clean out your handbag after discovering a lottery ticket in hers that won more than $2 million… four months ago!
The winner was oblivious to the fact her winning ticket had scored her a division one prize of $2,727,272.73 in Saturday Lotto’s $30 Million Megadraw, draw 4011 on Saturday 28 December 2019.
The woman revealed the ticket was a gift from a close friend, and she simply had not got around to checking it until recently.
“I was in shock. I was so surprised!” she exclaimed.
“Of course I didn’t think it was real when I checked the ticket but it feels a lot more real now.
“Regardless of the timing and knowing that I could have had my prize months ago, it’s still so sweet now.
“It’s just wonderful!”

Forgetful Cairns dad feeling extra generous after $250,000 Instant Scratch-Its win
A loving Cairns dad scratched a top prize of $250,000 on an Instant Scratch-Its ticket he had purchased on a recent holiday but had completely forgotten about until this week.
The overjoyed winner, who plans to spoil his family with the windfall, revealed how he came to hold and rediscover his winning Instant Scratch-Its.
“We were in Tasmania on holidays, just before everything went into lockdown,” he explained.
“We bought a few scratchies there and went home and completely forgot about them.
“When we finally discovered the tickets in our backpack and scratched them, we got quite a surprise! We couldn’t believe it; we still can’t. I don’t think it will sink in until we see the money in our bank account.

Two long-time Canberra friends accidentally doubled up on their Oz Lotto tickets, a mistake that’s won the former work colleagues a life-changing $2.2 million prize.
The overwhelmed pair held the only division one winning entry nationally in Oz Lotto draw 1366, drawn Tuesday 21 April 2020. They take home the division one prize of $2,289,010.50.
“I’m in it with a friend! We take turns buying Oz Lotto tickets every week.
“It wasn’t even my turn this week. I mistakenly bought the ticket thinking it was my week. I’m so glad I did!
“I cannot wait to tell her; she will fall over! We used to work together and we’ve been buying lottery tickets together for about 20 years.

Four months after the draw, two nurses from Young bawl happy tears after bundle of tickets yields $100,000 win.
After checking a bundle of long-forgotten tickets, two nurses from Young have bawled happy tears after one of the tickets yielded a $100,000 win in a Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw, drawn in December 2019.
One of the winners explained the reason or the delay in coming forward to claim their prize.
“I had a big bundle of tickets to check, so I thought I better finally do it. I never usually check the tickets until I have quite a few. I just seem to forget!” she said.
“I purchased this ticket with a friend at work. We’ve been buying tickets together for more than five years.
“As soon as they told me I won, I called her, and she came straight to the newsagency.
