Good news for Melbourne: 10 lottery players celebrate syndicate win

Ten players from Melbourne are celebrating some good news today after their Monday and Wednesday Lotto syndicate scored over $1 million in division one prize money in last night’s draw.

The syndicate entry was the only division one winning entry across Australia in Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw 3998, drawn Monday 10 August 2020, taking home a division one prize of $1 million.

In addition to winning division one, the Victorian syndicate’s System 13 QuickPick entry also scored division three 42 times and division four 315 times, bolstering their total prize to $1,027,428.10.

Each member of the 10 share syndicate receives a share worth $102,742.81.

Shares into the syndicate were purchased at 10 Tatts outlets all across Melbourne from Flemington to Hoppers Crossing and down to Rosebud West.

The Lott spokesperson Bronwyn Spencer said some syndicate members held unregistered entries and may have yet to discover the winning news

“It’s fair to say that these syndicate members will be celebrating some good news today after pocketing over one hundred thousand dollars each,” she said.

“While we’ll be reaching out to those syndicate members who registered their entries to their Tatts Cards, there are many syndicate members who have unregistered entries and may not yet know they’re part of this winning group.

“If you purchased a share in a syndicate for the recent Monday Lotto draw, today’s the day to check it!  If you discover you’re holding a winning share, call Tatts 131 868 to start the prize claim process!

“Players can check their tickets online via our website, on the Lott app or in-store when out shopping for essential purchases. All of our stores are practising social distancing measures following government requirements.”

Last financial year, Monday & Wednesday Lotto created 86 millionaires, across Australia.

The winning numbers in Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw 3998 on Monday 10 August were 2, 37, 30, 38, 23 and 25 while the supplementary numbers were 36 and 3.

Across Australia, there were was one division one entry from Victoria.

The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 241 so far this calendar year, including 98 won by Tatts customers.

Between 1 July 2019 and 30 June 2020, there were 101 division one winning Monday & Wednesday Lotto entries across Australia, which collectively won $98 million.
