A mum from Lake Haven has had a sweet surprise during a work lunch break, discovering she won $10,000 on an Instant Scratch-Its ticket.
The winning $1.10 Sweet Dough Instant Scratch-Its ticket was purchased at Lake Haven Lotto, Kiosk K8, Lake Haven Shopping Centre, Lake Haven Drive & Goobarabah Avenue, Lake Haven
Sharing her excitement with a NSW Lotteries official this afternoon, the Lake Haven mum explained how happily surprised she was when she discovered she won $10,000.
“I got it as a thank you gift from a family member,” she explained.
“I didn’t scratch it until about a week after I got it.
“I was at work about to leave for lunch and thought I should scratch it.
“I was a bit shocked when I saw I had won. I actually didn’t believe it.
“I took it down to the newsagency to check and they said I was a winner! I was ecstatic.
“These kinds of things don’t usually happen to me. It was a big surprise.
“It was a nice surprise in my day and a great gift!
“It’s a nice bonus.”
When asked how she planned to use her instant windfall, the New South Wales woman said she would share it with her family.
“I will share it with my family and then we will also go on a holiday,” she said.
“I celebrated the night I found out with some drinks, it was a lot of fun.”
Lake Haven Lotto owner David Goodwin said he was thrilled to have helped deliver a top prize win to one of his customers.
