An Adamstown Heights man has declared he’s going to celebrate with a cold one after this afternoon discovering he scored $200,000 in today’s Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw.
The Newcastle player won the guaranteed 1st Prize of $200,000 in Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw 1395, drawn Monday 22 July 2019.
Confirming his win with a NSW Lotteries official this afternoon, the man explained it was the first Lucky Lotteries ticket he’d ever purchased.
“I usually play other lottery games but when I saw that Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot had reached $83 million, I thought I’d give it a go,” he explained.
“I’d just won $10 on Thursday’s Powerball so I thought I’d reinvest and grab a couple of tickets.
“I guess you’d have to say it’s beginner’s luck!”
When asked how he planned to enjoy his Lucky Lotteries windfall, the overjoyed winner confessed he had never given it much thought.
“I haven’t ever really thought about what I’d do if I ever won a major prize,” he admitted.
“But it feels great to know $200,000 is soon going to land in my bank account.
“It will definitely help me get a few things sorted out and I’d say I’m going to celebrate this evening with a beer!”
The happy winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his entry of two random numbers online at thelott.com – Australia’s official lotteries.
The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now $84.04 million for draw 1397 while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot is now $2.58 million for draw 10301.
