A Port Macquarie man is ready to accelerate a long-held dream and buy himself a new car after winning more than $733,000 in the weekend’s Saturday Lotto draw.
The New South Wales resident held one of the seven division one winning entries in Saturday Lotto draw 4299, drawn Saturday 1 October 2022 and took home a division one prize of $733,492.92.
“Is this fair dinkum?” he exclaimed when an official from The Lott made contact to confirm his windfall.
“Oh my god! This feels amazing! I can’t believe it.
“First thing I’ve got to do is tell my wife. She’s going to be incredibly shocked, but no doubt she’ll be over the moon!
“Then I’m not sure how I’ll celebrate. My goodness, it’s a hard thing to get your head around.
“I might treat myself to a new car! I’ve wanted to upgrade for quite some time and now that the opportunity has presented itself I think that’s a great idea.
“Thank you so much. This means the world to us!”
His winning marked 50 game entry was purchased online at thelott.com – the official home of Australia’s lotteries.
The winning numbers in Saturday Lotto draw 4299 on 1 October 2022 were 40, 25, 32, 20, 30 and 9, while the supplementary numbers were 34 and 35.
Across Australia, there were seven division one winning entries in Saturday Lotto draw 4299 – three each in Queensland and New South Wales, and one in South Australia.
The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 340 so far this calendar year, including 93 won by NSW Lotteries customers.
In FY22, Saturday Lotto created 196 millionaires across Australia.
During this time, there were 324 division one winning in Saturday Lotto entries across Australia that collectively won more than $461.69 million.
