A Ramsgate man has confessed to feeling ‘extremely chuffed’ after discovering he’d bagged himself more than $733,000 in the weekend’s Saturday Lotto draw.
The Sydney resident held one of the seven division one winning entries in Saturday Lotto draw 4299, drawn Saturday 1 October 2022 and took home a division one prize of $733,492.92.
“Oh my god! I never thought this would happen to me, so I’m in a state of shock at the moment,” he exclaimed when an official from The Lott made contact to confirm his windfall.
“You always wonder how you’d feel if you won and now,I can say, it feels amazing!
“I’ve never won anything before.
“I’m heading into retirement, so this is definitely going to give me a boost and allow me to live comfortably.
“Who knows, I might treat myself to something nice too.
“What an incredible day. It’s going to take some time for me to process what’s just happened.
“Thank you so much!”
Their winning entry was purchased at Kirrawee Newsagency, 138 Oak Road, Kirrawee.
Kirrawee Newsagency owner Ashmita Lakhani said the team were ecstatic to have sold a division one winning entry.
“Our dreams have come true! This is the seventh big winner to come from our outlet and it feels fantastic,” she shared.
“We will be decorating the shop and celebrating for weeks to come.
“We’d like to wish our winning customer all the best for their future and hope they can fulfil all their wildest dreams.”
The winning numbers in Saturday Lotto draw 4299 on 1 October 2022 were 40, 25, 32, 20, 30 and 9, while the supplementary numbers were 34 and 35.
