A Strathpine woman has gifted herself an unforgettable birthday present - a $25,000 top prize winning Instant Scratch-Its ticket.
The top prize winning $2 Spot Some Cash ticket was purchased at Nextra Strathpine, 295 Gympie Road, Shops 36 & 37 Westfield Strathpine, Strathpine.
Sharing her excitement with an official from The Lott this morning, the happy winner couldn’t quite believe her good fortune.
“I bought the ticket on my birthday and left it in my bag,” she explained.
“I completely forgot it was there until a couple of days ago, so I scratched it straight away.
“When I saw the prize amount on the ticket, I went numb.
“I didn’t know what to do. It was incredible, it was such an exciting surprise!
“I’ve never dreamt something like this would happen to me. It was a very surreal experience.”
With $25,000 about to hit her bank account, the Moreton Bay region resident said she was looking forward to setting herself up financially.
“I am going to be debt free,” she declared.
“I will pay off a few bills and enjoy the financial freedom. That will be an amazing feeling!”
Nextra Strathpine team member Bri-anna Hawkes said she was ecstatic for the regular customer and hoped it was the start of a winning streak for the outlet.
“We haven’t had an Instant Scratch-Its top prize win in a while! It’s great to have another major prize win,” she shared.
“Our last big win was three years ago. It was a $10,000 top prize in June 2018.
