A Ryde shopper has ten thousand reasons to smile today after scratching one of the top prizes on a $1 Instant Scratch-Its ticket.
The winning $1 Santa’s Lil Helper ticket was purchased at Gifts n News @ Top Ryde, Shop 1029, LG2 Top Ryde, Ryde City Shopping Centre, Ryde.
However, how the winner plans to spend their $10,000 instant windfall will forever be a mystery as they have chosen to remain completely anonymous and celebrate in private.
Gifts n News @ Top Ryde employee Nista McCann said she was excited to hear one of their customers had scored a top prize.
“What a great way to start 2020,” she said.
“We’re so happy for our latest winner. We’ve had plenty of big wins over the years and it wasn’t long ago that we sold a 1st Prize in Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot.
“Congratulations to them! We’re sure they’ll enjoy their prize.”
Instant Scratch-Its spokesperson Lauren Cooney said the new year had started on a high for the Ryde winner.
“What a lovely way to kick off the year, scratching a $10,000 prize,” she said.
“We have no doubt this player will enjoy every moment of their instant windfall. Maybe their plans for 2020 will change after scoring this top prize!”
In 2019, there were 114 Instant Scratch-Its top prize winners across the Lott’s jurisdictions who collectively took home more than $9.61 million in top prizes.
During this same time, Instant Scratch-Its players enjoyed more than 27.1 million wins across all prize tiers worth more than $208.8 million. This equates to more than half a million dollars won on Instant Scratch-Its every day.
