Wannabe millionaires across the country will be holding their breaths tomorrow night, waiting to discover if they’re among the nation’s newest millionaires after Saturday Lotto’s $20 Million Superdraw.

Historically, Saturday Lotto Superdraws have created more millionaires than any other draws.  During the past 12 months, Saturday Lotto’s six Superdraws created 43 millionaires across the country, giving winners the freedom to fulfil their dreams.

Ahead of tomorrow’s Saturday Lotto $20 Million Superdraw, new research has revealed the different ways players choose the numbers on their tickets as they vie for division one.

The Lott spokesperson Lauren Cooney said almost half of the players surveyed declared they would be putting their “special numbers” to the test in Saturday night’s Superdraw.

“In fact, 46% of players said they'd be marking their entries, hoping to see these selected numbers roll out of the barrel,” she said.

“In picking their numbers, players revealed they used a combination of methods with 61% of players opting for family birthdays, 39% using ‘lucky numbers’ and 19% married to anniversary dates.

“Those who regularly mark their entries also shared they were creatures of habit, as 41% said they had been dedicated to their special selection of digits for 10 or more years.

“However, some players happily leave their fate up to the lottery terminal with about a third of those surveyed said they would be opting for a QuickPick in this weekend’s Superdraw.”

Ms Cooney said anyone wanting a chance to start next week as a newly-minted millionaire would need to have an entry in their hands before the draw’s close tomorrow night.

“In May, the last Superdraw created six multi-millionaires across the country, so whatever ticket you choose make sure you grab a registered entry into the draw so we can call you with the life-changing news.

“Maybe you won’t need to head back to work on Monday!”

In 2018, Monday & Wednesday Lotto and Saturday Lotto created 194 millionaires across Australia.

The $20 Million Saturday Superdraw, Saturday Lotto draw 3963, will take place on Saturday 13 July 2019.

Tickets can be purchased at any licensed lottery outlet, online from thelott.com or via the Lott mobile app.

In the 12 months to 31 December 2018, there were 280 division one winning Saturday Lotto entries across the Lott’s jurisdictions, which collectively won more than $306.19 million.

The Lott’s division one winning tally across all Australian lottery games has now reached 180 so far this calendar year.

The sign of Australia’s Official Lotteries, the Lott operates and markets Australia’s leading lottery games customers know and love creating everyday winners, winning every day.

In the 12 months to 30 June 2018, 74 million winners took home a total of $2.7 billion in prize money from their favourite games which include Saturday Lotto, Monday and Wednesday Lotto, Powerball, Oz Lotto, Set for Life, Lucky Lotteries, Keno and Instant Scratch-Its.
